Archive Sequence
This was the main archive sequence used during the event. It includes footage of protests against the gradual closure of the Steelworks, community events in Ebbw Vale and the surrounding area and footage of the Steelworks themselves.
Materials were very kindly contributed by The Ebbw Vale Works Archive Trust , BBC Wales Cymru Archives and the Ebbw Vale Institute.
Demolition Sequence
The sequence showing the demolition of one of the blast furnaces; the chimneys and then the Pickle Line. The Pickle Line was one of the last structures to be demolished, in July 2002. Chimney films were contributed by Glyn Walters. Pickler Films were contributed by BBC Cymru Wales, James Sheppard, John Faulkner, Russell Retallick, Marion Farr, Roy Nancarrow, Delwyn Evans, The Demolition Team at Ebbw Vale and the Ebbw Vale Works Archival Trust.
